Q: Do you offer a guarantee that I'll pass?
A: We deliver a promise that no other program, no one else in the industry dares to make.  If you purchase a product and utilize it as recommended, we guarantee that you'll pass the exam.  If you don't, we will offer you any other product of your choice at half price including conferences and mock oral board examinations.
Q: What if I don't pass the first time?
A: If you utilize our board review material and study in the recommended manner and receive an unsatisfactory result please contact Dr. Moshiri so that he can discuss the situation with you personally.  Our goal is to be supportive of your needs and to help you further your education in the best manner possible.  Sometimes, all that is needed are a few changes in the study technique.  As with any other candidate, our goal is to help you succeed and we will do our best to help you achieve your goal.
Q: What is your return policy on the books?
A: If a purchased book is delivered in a damaged state, we would be happy to replace it at no charge once the damaged item has been returned.  Unfortunately, due to the actions of some dishonest individuals we can not offer refunds on undamaged purchased books.  If there are any specific circumstances that require an exception to this rule, please feel free to email us through the "contact us" link.

Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Any customer that refers our products to another customer is eligible to receive a 10% discount on all future purchases and products.  To receive your discount code please "contact us".

Q: What is the difference between the Beyond Pain board review book and the Study Companion?
A: Beyond Pain is a detailed and intensive review of the core knowledge needed to master the board certification exam.  If this book is utilized as recommended, the Study Companion may not be needed.  The Study Companion was designed in order to assess the candidate's mastery of the material contained in the board review book.  It contains questions and answers with references to specific chapters and sections.  It is simply a useful tool intended in promoting active learning.
Q: How do I pay for the mock oral exam and what can I expect during the mock examination process?
A: Payment for the mock exam can be made through our website by clicking on the purchase button.  A mutually convenient time can be arranged by contacting Dr. Moshiri through the "contact us" page. You may either use FaceTime or iChat or alternatively you will be asked to sign up for a free Gmail account and set up your computer for google chat prior to the examination date.  You will then need to add "BeyondAnesthesia@gmail.com" to your friends list.  At the specified time of the scheduled examination you must make sure that you are in an environment where you will not be disturbed for the next 60 minutes.  A case question will be posed to you, this will be followed by 5 minutes of preparation and organization of the stem, 30 minutes of examination time, and a 10 minute review (45 min total).  If you are prepared to proceed before the 5 minute preparation time, we will simply extend the examination time until 10 minutes remain from your session.  You should have a telephone line available to you as well as a fast internet access.  This way if the connection is slow, or the video and audio is unstable we can continue to conduct the exam uninterrupted via the telephone. Once your mock oral examination is scheduled, exact instructions will be emailed to you.  If there are still questions remaining, you are then encouraged to contact us with further inquiries.
Q: Can I change the time or day of my mock oral exam?
A: You are welcome to make changes to your examination time up to 24 hours prior to the actual start time of your mock oral exam.
Q: What is the cancellation policy for the mock oral exam Or an oral board seminar?
A: The mock oral exam can be cancelled 3 days prior to the actual start time of the exam.  After 3 days, the fee is non-refundable although changes to the exam date can be made 24 hours prior to the examination start time.  Unless rescheduled within that time frame, the registration fee is forfeited.  The oral board seminar registration fee is fully refundable within 30 days of receiving a payment.  If the candidate registers inside of the 30 day window the fee will no longer be fully refundable.  In such a circumstance, the candidate is allowed to reschedule for another seminar or "gift" their registration to another interested individual. (Please let us know if you choose to not attend a conference for which you have registered)
